Prim would make “rope” necklaces for Katniss and her family because she didn’t know what the song meant. Katniss’ mother was yelling, and in the end- the two girls were crying. The meaning of that paragraph is about a murdered man (three more paragraphs of the poem that I didn’t include in this question) who is waiting for his girlfriend to wear the rope necklace (AKA, the noose.. which is the hanging rope) and hang or kill herself to be with him, and get out of whatever trouble she was in! I didn’t dislike anything!

2. First of all, I remembered when Snow gave Katniss the blood-odored rose, and when Katniss returned to her house (in the Victor’s Village, by the way) the rose was sitting on her dresser, and she said in the book; that it still smelled of blood roses, and Snow himself. Also, something that made me ask a question or confused me was when Pollux and Katniss, Boggs and the Insects (and others if I didn’t include them) were sitting and having the profound “picnic” situation, Pollux didn’t talk or say anything at all, so I was like~ “What the heck? Tell what you noticed about the characters, such as what made them act as they did or how they changed.

I didn’t really see this, as much as I did before, but Boggs got quite angered and stressed out in some pages when he was “included” in the story.

4. Write about something in the book that surprised you or that you found interesting.

Okay, something that I found VERY, VERY interesting was the song/poem that I included mostly in Question #1, about The Hanging Tree because it was very interesting to look at Katniss’ opinion about it and how she was forbidden to sing it and stuff, and how she sang it. I just absolutely loved the poem thing, it was amazing to listen to! Especially when Katniss explained the whole thing!
