Tell about the connections that you made while reading the book. Tell how it reminds you of yourself, of people you know, or of something that happened in your life. It might remind you of other books, especially the characters, the events, or the setting:

Some of the connections I have made in this book so far is things like

T-S: My grandparents live in an old house like that with an old arch where they got married, along with the tree house and the tire swing, my grandma’s big garden full of fruit and vegetables, the old barn and the huge forest. In the barn there are all the animals, 12 chickens (6 moms & 6 chicks), 4 cows, 3 horses, 5 goose, 10 cats, 3 dogs, 4 birds, and lastly 1 rooster. There are also a lot of wild coyote; they always kill my grandpa’s chickens. This all reminds me of the grandparents in this book.

I also have other connections like:

T-W: Khole Kardashian got married in like 2 weeks or months! (Something like that) in this book Anna is getting married in 7 days. A whole 7 days to plan and buy and set up everything!

Those are just 2 examples of connections I have had during my reading.

Question 10: Write about the author’s craft – what was effective about the way the author wrote:

The way that the author is writing this part of the book is making me want to skip to the ending. It’s not that I don’t like his work or anything it’s just that he is putting too much detail into everything and it’s getting to boring to read. I am thinking about 1) abandoning the book. Or 2) skipping a couple pages or chapters.

Question 11: Write about anything else that you may think of that deals with the book:

I think that one major problem is that the main character Wilson Lewis is too worked up on how his kids are growing up. Anna is getting married and moving to the next town, Joseph is engaged and he lives in New York City, lastly, Leslie is in university 19 hours away from home. Wilson doesn’t like the fact that life moves on like a stream, it’s always flowing and even if he’s not ready he has to make his life worth his last while because soon enough everything he loves is going to disappear even his wife Jane.

Question 7.
