The whole “survival” thing in The Hunger Games reminded me of the kid’s game survival. You have to survive from the other animals (people) that have more “power” than you. You can use speed or agility to outrun them but not up close and personal. This reminds me of the book. Other things such as the show “Survivor Man” also reminds me of the book.

Answer #8: The author’s style is to blurt out what is on her mind. She states everything about her characters. I find this as a very good thing in this book. It gives you more understanding on how the characters feel and how they act. I like that in my book.

Answer #9: The author used language that teenagers, such as myself, understands what she is trying to say. As well, she uses other language to give the effect that the characters are more mature than you would see in other books. It gives you the affect that they are willing to do anything.

Answer #10: The author’s ways of writing was effective because it gave you the feeling that the characters in the story were a lot more mature than what they would be in our world. Today. Her way of writing is unique; it gets your attention, and makes you want to keep reading. I really like that about this book.

Answer #11: In the book, there was a prediction I forgot to add in. I figured Gale (Katniss’s best friend), would be chosen to go to The Hunger Games because he had his name in 42 times. I figured he would get picked, but I was wrong. He didn’t get picked, but Katniss and Peeta were picked to go to the games.

Answer #12: In my opinion, I think I relate to Peeta, in a way. In the situation he is in, I would act just like he did. If I was going to die, I would like to die as myself, not as a monster. I wouldn’t be able to kill anyone. I would just sit there and die honorably like he was going to, until Katniss came. This is why I think I relate to him.

This is another post about The Hunger Games. Answer #7: In this book, I made many connections to other things while reading this book.
