I finished my book \u2018Monsters of Men\u2019 and I\u2019ve started a new book called \u2018Blood Red Road\u2019. Monsters of Men ended with Todd and Viola killing the mayor and asking the aliens (Spackle) for peace. At first, they were hesitant, but they eventually agreed to peace. Todd got shot in the chest by an acid rifle and DIED! I was so upset when he died because he was the main character and they killed him. At least, I thought they did. He didn\u2019t 100% come back to life, but I think he was just in a coma coming out, because he was talking in his coma and he kept saying \u201cHere I come\u201d, so I think he must have come back. Of course we\u2019ll never know because it just ends there.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Blood Red Road, twins Saba and Lugh are out in the desert where they live with their young sister Emmi, and their father. These 4 horsemen come out of nowhere and kidnap Lugh and kill her father. Saba must save Lugh, and sets out to find Mercy, a woman their father said they could trust. Saba leaves Emmi with Mercy, and sets out with her bird, Nero, to find Lugh. Emmi leaves Mercy and comes out on a horse to help Saba find Lugh. That\u2019s as far as I have gotten, and so far it\u2019s pretty good.<\/span><\/p>\n

Question 7:<\/span><\/p>\n

Saba reminds me of Todd, from the \u2018Chaos Walking\u2019 Trilogy. Saba reminds me of Todd because they both have horrible grammar. She narrates the book just like Todd did, and she is always spelling things wrong, even more so than Todd was. Also, this story reminds me of the movie \u2018Taken\u2019 because people just came out of nowhere and took Lugh.<\/span><\/p>\n

Question 1:<\/span><\/p>\n

I like how they write the book because it was just like \u2018The Knife of Never Letting Go\u2019 but Saba talks without any structure in her words whatsoever. It bothers me because sometimes I can\u2019t keep up with what she is saying because she uses different words for different meanings. Also, there are no quotation marks! I never know who is talking, and that bothers me the most.<\/span><\/p>\n

Question 4:<\/span><\/p>\n

I found it surprising when Emmi came back to Saba without Mercy. I thought that Mercy would have at least come with Emmi to help Saba, because that was the kind of person she was. I guess she just didn\u2019t want to get raveled up into Saba and Emmi\u2019s story. It is also possible that she didn\u2019t know Emmi left, that\u2019s probably the most accurate prediction.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
