The Hunger Games

I’m currently reading the Hunger Games series and I find it really good right now. The story is about a 16 year old girl who goes to a national sport for food for her family. The way to get chosen is to have your name drawn out of a bowl of others. Many others. Her sister gets picked out, but she takes her part. The Hunger games are extremely dangerous. It is either you win and live free, or die hard trying.

1: One thing I love about this book is the characters. The characters are very weird. Some are alcoholics,  or very rude. Either way, the characters are very good.

One thing I dislike about this book is how they jumped so quickly into it. I wish you would have been able to learn more about the story before it starts.

2: One thing I don’t get is why they have the Hunger Games in the first place. What causes these people to go to the extreme of a bloodthirsty game just for food? They must be living in horrible conditions.

3: One thing i notice with the characters is that the Hunger Games staff, you could say act as if the hunger games are necessary. I don’t think they are. I believe they are horrible. I can see why Katniss (main character) is angry about it.
