Terror On Tour

by: Carolyn Keene and Franklin W. Dixon

I just finished my book and here’s the summary of what happened.

After the kidnappers made their threat and Kijani didn’t come to the stage the hung Deirdre from the rigging above the stage with her hands tied over her head with wires! They also had a remote control so thy could electrocute her and kill her. Kijani told Nancy, Bess, George, Joe and Frank that it was the Death brothers from her country that were trying doing all this. They were doing it because back in Kijani’s country there leader took over the country and he was a terrorist with lots of assassins. Abrafo ( the leader) told the Death brothers to go after Kijani’s parents and execute them. They all escaped before the Death brothers could do anything. They came all the way to America to kidnap Kijani so they could use her to demand anything from her parents. Frank, George and Bess came up with a plan. Frank tried to tell Nancy and Joe but they wouldn’t listen they had their own stupid plan, so he told George and Bess to carry on the plan without them. They wanted Nancy to go out distract them then Joe and Frank would come up and knock them out even though they are about 400 pounds of muscle. Before Frank could say anything Nancy ran out and said she would trade herself as a hostage for Deirdre. The Death brothers said it would be better if they had two hostages instead. Then Frank and Joe tried to take them down and before they knew it the Death brothers went from 1 hostage to 4 hostages. They all went up to the rigging but before they were hanged too Frank pulled out earplugs and put them in. Then there was a terrible ear splitting sound coming out of all the speakers throughout the whole concert. Everyone was on the ground writhing in pain except for Frank because he had the earplugs. While the Death brothers were on the ground he kicked away their guns and the remote control for electrocuting Deirdre and the cops came and took care of the rest.

5. Write your predictions and about whether your predictions were right.

When Kijani was talking about the Death brother Nancy and Joe wondered why they chose Deirdre of all people to kidnap. I made an inference for that. My inference was I think the Death brothers kidnapped Deirdre because the whole day Deirdre was bragging to anyone that would listen very loudly that her and Kijani were bestfriends. When she was doing a short interview she was talking about how amazing Kijani was and how close they were and they put that video on the giant screens. Even though none of it was true and it was all lies the Death brothers thought it was true. Since they thought Deirdre and Kijani were so close they were sure Kijani would do anything to save her “bestfriend.” That inference was proven right by Nancy.

9. Write about the language the author used and why you think the author wrote this way.

The authors used really normal language for teenager’s. The whole story was told from the point of three different teenager and it wouldn’t sound normal if they were talking like the Queen of England or someone like that.

11. Write about anything else that you may think of that deals with the book.

The whole time the five of them were working together all they talked about was the mystery. After the mystery was solved they finally would get a chance to talk to each other and Nancy would able to find out about the ATAC. That didn’t happen though because they were sitting Frank and Joe got up to dance right beside them and 5 seconds later Nancy looks over and they disappeared! After all that they still had to sneak away!

16. Tell what you think could be changed in the book to make it better for readers.

Something that would of made the story a bit better is when Kijani was telling Nancy and Joe about the Death brothers and what was going on in her country and her parents she never mentioned why the Death brothers wanted to kill her in the first place. That would’ve been good to know considering that’s the whole reason everything was happening anyways.
