9. The authors language in the book is easy to understand. The words he uses are good to tell true story’s and they are words I know. The language and style the author writes, keeps you interested in what is going on and it keeps you exited and you always want to know whats going to happen next!
7. some of the text to self connections I did reminded me of when I was a kid and would run around playing war games with friends and family and we would shoot each other and trees with fake, plastic dollar store guns pretending they were real. One other text to self connection I did was about my dads grandpa that died in the war at a young age.
2. Some things that puzzled me in my book were that some of the men in the story’s were brave heroic war heroes and they didn’t get noticed or awarded for the things they did to help their country, and only one guy was mentioned and awarded for his bravery and success.
