Pretty Little Liars – Weekly Reading Response Blog

i have finished reading the first book of the pretty little liars series. in the beginning of the book they talk about how alison (the other four girls old best friend) went missing. in the book the four girls aria, hanna, emily and spencer dont talk every since alisons disaperance. in the book aria is not like most of the other characters in the book. she moved back from iceland after being there for 3 years. when she comes back from iceland she completely changes her style and is different. she meets a guy names ezra and as the book goes on he ends up being her ap english teacher. when alison was still alive hanna was overweight and not like the other girls. once she gets into high school she also changes. she becomes one of the most popular girls with her new best friend mona (who they used to bully). hanna is not the most behaved; she shoplifts and she also steals her ex boyfriends dads car and crashes it at a party. emily is a swimmer and she loves it. when a new family moves into alisons old house emily and the new girl maya become best friends. as the book goes on they start to develop feelings for each other. spencer is all about school. she always tries to do better than her sister melissa did and always trying to impress her parents. her sister melissa has a boyfriend and spencer and wren (her sisters boyfriend) like each other. spencer gets caught and melissa and wren break up but wren still finds time to come see spencer. the one thing that all the girls have in common right now is that they are all getting text messages and emails from someone who goes by ‘A’. in the end of the book they find alisons body baried in her old backyard. her mom deciedes to hold a memorial service for her. all the girls end up seeing each other and talking again. the book ends with all of them getting a text from ‘A’.

i really liked the book a lot. it had a lot of interesting parts in the book and i sometimes didnt want to stop reading. now that i am done this book i am going to read the second book in the series called flawless. i am excited to read that one to.
