20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

7.)The connections that I make are mostly about other books I’ve read. The characters remind me of some other characters I’ve read in books, for example the professor reminds me a little about a dad in a book named tunnels. The professor and the dad relate because they both really enjoy learning new things and seeing specimens of many different kinds. Also Consiel, the professor s servant reminds me of another book I’ve read but I don’t know the tittle to it. Consiel is like the character in the other book because he stays by his masters side no matter what, he even jumped off the Abraham Lincoln because the professor fell off. I’ve also made connections because of the setting of the book, underwater in a submarine. I’ve made those connections because I also read a book about that kind of setting before. (I’ve also seen a submarine in real life too.)

8.) The authors style of writing is old fashioned in my opinion. He writes with really old sayings and events in the book are very old too. He never swears and neither do the characters, it makes it sound like a very professional book. There is no short language like ya, or anything else like that. It makes me feel like that never should you call anything short language and that are language right now is really bad compared to their language there talking.

9.)The language the author used was old style and very professional. I think he did that because he wanted to make sure that the reader knew that no matter what the characters weren’t kidding or joking. Like if you thought the question the asked was stupid you know they were serious because they never would ask a stupid question and that they were serious about it.
