Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas – Weekly Reading Response Blog

I’m reading Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson. The main idea of the story is, Hunter and his attorney going to Las Vegas to live the American dream. Hunter was a sports journalist and was assigned to go to Las Vegas to write about the mint 400, and explore Vegas in the Great Red Shark, in other words, a red Chevy convertible they rented, and a galaxy of drugs. I’m at the point in the book were they came to a show on acid. They Said they were friends of the show host, Debbie Reynolds. I’m not sure if they actually are or just used that excuse as an attempt to get a free parking space on the side walk. They gave a guy five bucks to go park for them.

I can’t wait to finish the book, and I’ll keep you updated.
