A Princess of Landover

I haven’t read much, so this post will be short.

While working in the stacks with Thom, she thought she heard a voice call from way back in the darkness, deeper into the stacks. She asked Thom if he heard that, and he said no. She heard it again, and decided to go back there. She started towards it, when Thom told her to not go back there.  He said they weren’t allowed. Later that night, they both went back there when everyone was asleep. While going back there, it seemed to take a very long time. They were walking for an hour already, and it seemed like they haven’t even gotten close. After a little while after that, they reached a place where there were a whole bunch o0f monkeys carrying books. They didn’t really seem to notice Thorn and Mistaya, and only hissed at them a couple of times. They went deeper in, and a sucking started to drag them into a blacker and deeper part of the stacks. They fell and held onto each other, and Thom had managed to grab hold of  a bookshelf leg. They held onto that for a while. After the sucking stopped, they walked out, and Rufus met them. He said he was going to report them to his Eminince. They walked back to their rooms, and Qeuster Thews was in Mistaya’s room. They are still talking…

Questions:

12. I do relate to Thom, because I really love books, as does he.

4. What I found surprising was that the Gnomes denied everything they were asked, so they wouldn’t give Mistaya up.

2. What puzzled me was why the river master left so suddenly after telling Ben about Mistaya.
