Mockingjay, Chapter 7~ Suzanne Collins

1. Tell what like or dislike about the book and why.

I liked how Katniss is shooting the film for the “Mockingjay” attempt, thing. I liked that because, she’s taking no more garbage from the Capitol, and she’s standing up to what she thinks should’ve been done a long time ago.

14. Name 3 examples of signals that went off in your head while you were reading and explain them.

The first signal was probably confusion because, how would Cinna know that Katniss would, eventually be the Mockingjay? Even I’m reading, and I wasn’t sure she would take this chance, but I expected it to happen, sometime. The second signal was probably me being really excited, because Katniss has a new kind of life now, in front of the cameras! Instead of the “Star Crossed Lovers” look its actually the “Capitol is screwing up my lfie, and I have to change that” look. The third, and final signal was probably feeling bad, because her Prep Team was tied up in a room that was being guarded by guards, and her Prep Team was getting beaten, and all that jazz, so I felt really bad for them. Feeling bad is, also, how I feel for Peeta, and the Victors, like Finnick.

16. Tell what you think could be changed in the book to make it better for readers.

Like, I said in Chapter 6, I would like to hear more about Peeta. But, now I’m, really interested in hearing about the Capitol, and Finnick and the mad girl, Annie, who Finnick is in love with. I know she must be in the book somewhere, because they keep talking about her, so she wouldn’t just be talked about, Suzanne would have to put her in.

8. Write about the author’s style and how it makes you feel.

Oddly, enough. It makes me feel like I’m at home on my computer reading my “written for fun” stories. I’m not exactly sure why, but it just does..
