Right now I am reading a book called NightShade, it is about these people called guardians, who have the ability to shape-shift into werewolves. They work for these witches refereed to as keepers, their job is to guard the sacred sites of the keepers.
The main characters name is Calla, she is a alpha who’s new pack is about to form. In one month there will be a union between two packs, where they will become as one, lead by both alphas of the original packs. This is Callas destiny, to become Rens mate and rule over her pack, she has always known it, but when she meets a boy named Shay she is suddenly not so sure…
1. I like that this book is very original, i like that story line, and i like the way it makes you want to know what happens next. But one thing that i have been noticing since the beginning of the book, is that the author will give you questions to think about, but then never tell you the answer. I’m not referring to any huge questions that keep the story moving and pull you right through to the end, I’m talking about simpler thing such as what a searcher is or a keeper, things that you need to know if you want to understand the book. i found that just until recently, i was very confused whenever i went to read my book, because i had no idea what the characters were talking about.
5. At the very beginning of the book, when Calla meets Shay, i predicted that she was going to fall in love with him, or begin to question her destiny with Ren. I was right, Calla has already began questioning the fact that she has to be with Ren, and she is already wishing she had some sort of choice.
I think that within the next 3-4 chapters she will decide that she will do anything to stop her destiny.
3. Just in the latest chapter of my book, Calla spilled everything to Shay. She told him everything! Everything about the keepers and the searchers, and even about her own fate. After this Shay found a forbidden book in his “so called” uncle’s library. When he showed it to Calla, she cowered away from it, and refused to have anything to do with it. But nevertheless Shay convinced her to help him figure it out. I found it funny how Shay could convince her to do something, that even minutes before, she would have absolutely nothing to do with.
