Catching Fire Suzanne Collins 2

**(SPOILER ALERT.)**

Tell what you like or dislike about the book so far and why.

So far, I really like Catching Fire. I’m about half way through and am enjoying this book probably better than the first book of the Trilogy, “The Hunger Games”. I enjoyed reading the part where Katniss is stuck in the woods of District 12 because the fence has been charged, and I also thought the part where Gale was being whipped and Katniss jumped in between them was exciting.

Write something about the book you liked or found interesting.

I’m at a very exciting part in the book, right at the part where the Quarter Quell is coming up and they’re adding a twist to the 75th Hunger Games. They have decided the twist will be to prove that no matter how strong you are, you’re basically unable to rebel against the capital. Since Katniss and Peeta both won the 74th Hunger Games, they basically started a rebellion in multiple districts. The twist is that the Hunger Game contestants will be drawn from the winners of each district. The rules are basically the same, but if there is only one female or male victor in one district, they will be automatically put in the games. Katniss is going back into the games, and she is scared and worried about who will be the male from District 12. Haymitch or Peeta? Peeta want’s to do anything he can to get in the arena to protect her, but the Capitol despises Katniss and will add as many twists as needed to kill her.

Tell about parts of the book that puzzled you or made you ask a question.

Something that puzzled me while reading was when Katniss found out she was going to be in the Games again and ran out the door, eventually finding herself in a cellar. When I read she ended up in a cellar I thought she had been having a nightmare, but I realized it was reality. Why was she randomly in a cellar with a bloody hand? Was she taken there? Or did she do this herself? This confused me.
