Question 3:
Tell what you noticed about the characters, such as what made them act as they did or how they changed.
Jane and Wilson’s daughter Anna is moving out; to a different city to go to a different journalism university and she also tells her parents that she is getting married to her 6 year boyfriend. Her mother is so happy but her father has no reaction to this news. Anna is worried but her father Wilson. His reaction is not what I expected.
Question 12:
Do you relate to any of the characters in the book? Explain how and why.
I think I can relate my dad to Wilson. They are exactly the same because they both work a lot and they both like spending time on their own in their offices and I personally think that if Wilson was a real person, my dad had finally met his twin. They both do not like change and they both have 3 kids, and their parents are both from Germany! They have dark chestnut brown/grey hair and they both have black/brown eyes. They could pass for clones. That is the character and person I think relate very well.
Question 16:
Tell what you think could be changed in the book to make it better for readers.
In this part of the book I think Nicholas Sparks could have changed Wilson’s reaction to his daughter’s news. He could have been happy for her because
1) She is moving away for a better job, and a better school.
2) She is getting married to Keith, whom her father approved of when Anna first introduced the two men.
